What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement features and tools for the HashiCorp Vault ecosystem.
• Lead and execute large-scale projects from architecture design through full implementation.
• Review and assess code for quality, design patterns, and optimization opportunities.
• Mentor software engineers, sharing technical knowledge and promoting development best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and external stakeholders to align solutions with requirements.
• Support reliable production environments and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Expert-level proficiency in Go (Golang) for production-grade applications.
• Experience with Linux, including troubleshooting and bash scripting.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Not a Foreign National from US sanctioned countries (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and specific regions of Ukraine).

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Experience using other HashiCorp products (Packer, Waypoint, Nomad, Boundary, Consul).
