TL;DR

Roaming Testing Engineer I (IREG/GSM): Performing IREG testing for new roaming partners based on GSM standards with an accent on network setup, switch translations, and SS7 message evaluation. Location: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid), 30% travel (may be at client locations for 2-4 weeks at a time), must have valid passport

What you will do

• Assist in developing and maintaining IREG testing procedures adhering to GSM standards and business processes.
• Provide switching and signaling support for roaming partner setups, including switch/network translations.
• Schedule and perform IREG testing for new roaming partners.
• Troubleshoot SS7 messages, switching, SGSN/GGSN, and SMSC issues when roaming services fail.
• Manage test plans and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in IREG testing environment (preferred)
• 2+ years in technical customer support, problem management, and roaming implementation
• Formal software testing methodologies (integration, conformance, module, functional testing, document reviews).
• Strong troubleshooting, error analysis, and understanding of GSM standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, multitasking, and project management skills; ability to work in teams with limited supervision.
