TL;DR

Lead Programmer (C++/Gamedev): Leading the technical vision and development for Boom Beach in collaboration with Supercell with an accent on architectural alignment, code quality, and legacy system optimization. Focus on maintaining a high-scale live mobile game, mentoring engineers, and shipping features for millions of global players.

Location: Hybrid (Helsinki, Finland). Must have the right to work in Finland (EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship or valid permit); no visa sponsorship provided.

hirify.global is a leading Helsinki-based game studio with over 20 years of experience developing both partner projects for major companies and its own original IP.

What you will do

  • Own the technical and quality vision for Boom Beach with hands-on development involvement.
  • Drive architectural alignment and lead technical discovery for new initiatives.
  • Collaborate daily with internal and external stakeholders, including Supercell, on technical requirements.
  • Evaluate upcoming features and internal tools to ensure alignment with long-term tech strategy.
  • Coordinate with central platform, data, and security teams to align on shared services and standards.
  • Manage key technical interfaces for app stores and platform partners.

Requirements

  • Proven technical leadership in cross-functional teams managing large-scale systems.
  • Strong experience working with live free-to-play mobile games.
  • Professional background in game development using C++.
  • Proficiency in profiling, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Understanding of multi-platform development for iOS and Android.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; Must already possess the legal right to work in Finland.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PC, Mac, or Web platforms.
  • Finnish language proficiency.
