Lead Programmer (C++)

Location: Hybrid in Helsinki, with a minimum of 3 days per week at the office. Applicants must already have the right to work in Finland, such as a valid residence or work permit or EU/EEA/Swiss citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Own the game's technical and quality vision while remaining hands-on in development.
• Drive architectural alignment and technical discovery for new initiatives.
• Evaluate upcoming features and internal tools, advising cross-functional partners on technology strategy.
• Coordinate technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Align with platform, data, security, and central technology teams on shared services, tools, and standards.
• Maintain key technical interfaces with app stores and platform partners while improving tools, processes, and the codebase.

Requirements

• Technical leadership experience in cross-functional teams and large-scale systems.
• Strong experience with live free-to-play mobile games.
• Professional experience writing games in C++ and working across different technologies.
• Skills in profiling, debugging, and performance analysis.
• Understanding of multi-platform development for iOS and Android; PC, Mac, or Web experience is beneficial.
• Experience with CI/CD, branching strategies, rollouts, rollbacks, incidents, and post-mortems, plus strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience developing for PC, Mac, or Web in addition to mobile platforms.
• Finnish language skills.
