TL;DR

Instrumentation And Control Engineer (PLC/DCS): Owning and operating facilities control systems and field instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency and safety with an accent on PLC programming, power monitoring, and system maintenance. Focus on troubleshooting control network architecture, executing SAT/FAT tests, and optimizing energy conservation within the electrical power system.

What you will do

• Own and operate building monitoring systems, including all preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Manage the instrumentation calibration program and conduct design reviews for system enhancements.
• Solve technical issues within system controls utilizing PLC, HMI-Servers, and SQL.
• Develop job plans for maintenance and maintain critical as-built drawings and PLC code backups.
• Coordinate and execute SAT and FAT tests, and manage the startup of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Collaborate with project engineers and external consultants on system design and close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting techniques, interpreting PIDs, and using tools like multimeters and Hart configurators.
• Proven experience managing calibration processes and control network architecture.
• Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
• Unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Nice to have

• Experience utilizing Allen Bradley PLC programming software and HMI-Complicity software.
• Experience with ABB and Allen Bradley Variable frequency drives (VFD) programming.
• Proficiency in Power Monitoring Expert (PME) software.
