What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of Technical Artists, providing direction and support for professional growth.
- Collaborate with rendering engineers to create scalable and performant shader solutions for PC, console, mobile, and cloud.
- Define material standards, documentation, and best practices for global art teams.
- Own and optimize performance metrics for materials, geometry, lighting, and visual effects.
- Drive research and development of new rendering techniques and streamlined content creation workflows.
- Contribute to and improve the existing toolset to enhance overall production capabilities.
Requirements
- Extensive track record of shipping high-quality titles in a lead or senior capacity.
- Proven success in leading, mentoring, and scaling technical art teams.
- Deep understanding of Unreal Engine and the Blueprint system.
- Extensive experience with dynamic lighting workflows and PBR materials.
- Strong knowledge of shader creation via node graphs, HLSL, or GL.
- Intermediate proficiency in Python and C++.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with game performance evaluation tools to profile CPU, GPU, and memory across multiple platforms.
