hirify.global is the Postgres development platform providing a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search.

What you will do

• Evolve hirify.global Edge Runtime, managing Deno isolate, main/user runtime split, and resource limits.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, OpenTelemetry tracing, and drive latency/reliability optimizations.
• Collaborate with Deno and open-source teams, contribute upstream, and relay user requirements.
• Participate in on-call rotation to maintain production health.
• Enhance features like scheduled functions, background tasks, WebSockets, ephemeral storage, and custom routing.
• Integrate functions tightly with hirify.global stack and expand to new use cases like AI inference and simple websites.
• Improve local development and debugging DX through hirify.global CLI, DevTools, logging, and production parity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of backend or systems engineering experience with strong fluency in Rust and TypeScript.
• Experience with V8 Isolates, Deno, and JavaScript runtimes.
• Experience operating infrastructure at scale (Kubernetes, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, Redis, or similar).
• Strong vision for pushing compute and data to the edge.

Nice to have

• Experience building developer-facing CLIs or front-end tooling for infrastructure products.
