What you will do
- Perform high-fidelity facial modeling for protagonists and key NPCs, including sculpting, topology optimization, and UV unwrapping.
- Create cinematic-level PBR textures (Albedo, Normal, Roughness, SSS Mask) for high-quality real-time rendering.
- Develop FACS-standard BlendShapes and Morph Targets in collaboration with the rigging team to support motion capture.
- Optimize model structures and topology edge loops for high-fidelity animation driving.
- Establish project facial modeling specifications and mentor other character modelers within the team.
Requirements
- 6+ years of 3D character modeling experience in gaming or film, with at least 4 years specialized in facial modeling.
- Experience working on AAA console/PC games or equivalent high-quality film/TV projects.
- Expert proficiency in ZBrush and a deep understanding of human facial anatomy.
- Proficiency in Maya or 3ds Max for facial low-poly topology optimization.
- Experience with Substance Painter or Mari for creating realistic skin textures.
- Familiarity with MetaHuman standards, FACS expression libraries, and UE5 rendering pipelines.
