Software Engineer (Python/C++)

Location: Hybrid in Christchurch, New Zealand (work from office 3+ days per week)

What you will do

• Design and document improvements for UI, backend, core libraries, and algorithms.
• Write clean, testable code and perform code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Support the full release cycle from planning to rollout.
• Debug issues and collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to find feasible solutions.
• Engage with cross-discipline experts to enhance the Leapfrog software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering roles.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, agile team environment.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Christchurch office 3+ days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI developments and geoscience libraries.
• Familiarity with Cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and cloud stacks (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
