What you will do

• Lead and mentor a pod of level designers to foster creativity and technical skill.
• Define level design standards, workflows, and best practices to ensure polished environments.
• Review level layouts, pacing, and gameplay integration for consistency and quality.
• Ensure levels are scalable, balanced, and aligned with the overall game vision and technical constraints.
• Communicate design intent, gameplay challenges, and trade-offs to internal teams and clients.
• Oversee the design of core gameplay loops, narrative integration, and player progression.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading or mentoring level designers in a professional game development environment.
• Strong understanding of level design principles, player experience, pacing, and spatial storytelling.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to balance creative design with production realities and client feedback.
• Proficiency with industry-standard level design and prototyping tools.
• Experience working in co-development or multi-project environments is a plus.
