What you will do

• Define and execute technical and management strategy, including budgeting, for existing products and new initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Partner with Product Management to translate requirements into Agile delivery plans with clear milestones, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, report variances, and own team capacity planning and productivity management.
• Foster collaboration between development and quality engineering to maximize test automation and integrate responsibilities across the lifecycle.
• Identify risks, develop mitigations, maintain metrics, and contribute to corporate strategy as part of senior management.
• Lead talent attraction, hiring, performance management, organizational development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years in software development in medical device or highly regulated industry (life sciences, diagnostics, clinical tech, regulated SaaS).
• Demonstrated leadership of 10+ engineers across levels and technologies, with validated processes, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Strong Agile practices in regulated environments, modern software architecture (multi-tier, multi-tenant SaaS, scalability, data integrity).
• Experience with data modeling, database design, budgets, business cases, scope management, and risk mitigation.
