Senior Android Engineer (Jetpack Compose)

TL;DR

Senior Android Engineer (Jetpack Compose): Building secure, high-quality Android solutions for digital identity and authentication across the European Union with an accent on security- and compliance-driven functionality, usability, and reliability. Focus on developing and evolving Android applications, implementing complex features with Jetpack Compose, and ensuring high standards under tight timelines.

Hybrid: 1 day per week mandatory on-site in Amsterdam (2 days preferred). Location: Amsterdam, North Holland.

What you will do

• Develop and evolve Android applications within a major digital identity programme.
• Implement complex, security- and compliance-driven functionality with high usability and reliability standards.
• Collaborate in a team of 3 FTEs on a project with tight timelines and first implementation later this year.
• Contribute technical impact and personal initiative in an international setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience as an Android Engineer
• Expert in Kotlin + Java
• Extensive experience with Jetpack Compose and modern UI/UX
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines
• Experience guiding/mentoring junior/medior developers
• Strong communication skills (English sufficient, Dutch is a plus)

• Experience in a corporate/enterprise environment
