What you will do

  • Own end-to-end recruitment process, from job descriptions and sourcing to interviews and offers.
  • Design and manage onboarding programs, salary benchmarking, and professional development plans.
  • Handle payroll, benefits administration, leave management, and HR record-keeping in compliance with local laws.
  • Support performance reviews, disciplinary processes, and staff queries on policies.
  • Plan team-building events and champion organizational culture and values.
  • Provide HR support to Country Director and managers for talent and development needs.

Requirements

  • Location: Based in Lilongwe, Malawi
  • 5–7 years progressive experience in operations or HR, ideally in NGOs or high-growth organizations.
  • Degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and local labour law compliance.
  • Strong people management skills with track record of building teams and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
