What you will do

• Ship modernization work using AI agents for framework upgrades, refactors, API extraction, test scaffolding, and documentation while preventing regressions.
• Build reusable AI playbooks, prompt templates, and standards to accelerate team delivery and improve code quality.
• Upgrade legacy .NET services to modern versions, untangle architecture, and implement RESTful APIs with versioning and reliability.
• Optimize SQL Server queries, indexing, and transactional integrity; assist with data pipelines like Kafka if needed.
• Ensure security, privacy, quality guardrails with automated tests, CI/CD, logging, and observability for healthcare compliance.
• Collaborate with product, UX, DevOps, QA, analysts to deliver business-solving software with predictable timelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years building and shipping production systems in fast-moving teams.
• C# and modern .NET experience in large codebases with refactoring and migrations.
• Strong SQL Server skills: schema design, query tuning, performance troubleshooting.
• Cloud experience with Azure/AWS (Azure preferred).
• API design for service-oriented architectures with versioning, auth, reliability, testing.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) for refactors, migrations, tests.

Nice to have

• Legacy ASP.NET/.NET Framework modernization experience, especially Azure patterns.
• Angular/React/Next.js frontend experience.
• Distributed systems: Kafka, event-driven architectures, Postgres.
• Background in regulated domains like healthcare or fintech.
