Embedded Devices Software Solution Sales Manager (Americas) (IoT): Prospecting sales and strategic account development for Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core in connected devices, industrial PCs, appliances with an accent on security, resilience, real-time Linux for consumer electronics, automotive, robotics. Focus on building territory sales plans, closing contracts to meet bookings quotas, managing customer relationships through sales cycles, and collaborating with field engineers.

Location: Remote role in Americas timezones. Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks and up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events.

What you will do

  • Build and execute territory sales plan prioritizing security-focused brands and manufacturers.
  • Develop pipeline through outreach, prospecting, local marketing, and industry events.
  • Close contracts to meet quarterly and annual bookings targets.
  • Manage customer relationships through all sales cycle stages.
  • Work with Field Engineers on customer requirements and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate data and forecasts in Salesforce; coordinate with support, delivery, and management teams.

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record; undergraduate degree in technical subject.
  • Field sales experience in embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software; track record of sales targets and large account wins.
  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, result-oriented, detail-oriented with effective follow-up.
  • Confidence, curiosity, flexibility, accountability; willingness to travel as required.
