Senior System Integration Engineer (ATM)

Location: Melbourne, Australia; hybrid work from home and office and a 9-day fortnight may be considered. Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Integrate and deploy next-generation air traffic management systems across major Australian towers.
• Map customer requirements to ATM product solutions and develop requirements, system designs, interface specifications, and acceptance test documentation.
• Lead integration activities, including site-specific parameterisation, defect prioritisation, customer validation, and acceptance support.
• Deploy, configure, integrate, and test ATM software and parameterisation in factory and on-site environments.
• Coordinate with product software development, internal project, support, and customer teams.
• Address technical, safety, cybersecurity, supportability, cost, schedule, and quality considerations throughout the system engineering lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in software engineering or computer science with suitable recent software experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the air traffic management domain, including system integration.
• Knowledge of network technologies, network security, XML, Linux, virtualisation, software testing, and validation.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements management, system design, integration, testing, validation, and high-level requirements derivation.
• Eligible for chartered engineering status and state engineering registration in Queensland or Victoria.
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance are required.
