Cloud Support Engineer (OpenStack/OpenShift)

Salary: $136,500 – $253,500

What you will do

• Provide primary technical support for external customers using secure cloud-based silicon design and HPC platforms.
• Troubleshoot and operate OpenStack-based private/hybrid clouds and OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters.
• Monitor HPC cluster performance, job scheduling (Slurm, LSF), and resolve resource contention or I/O bottlenecks.
• Develop automation using Python and Shell to improve MTTR and monitor system health.
• Manage software licensing availability and utilization using FlexNet/FLEXlm.
• Maintain security compliance for ITAR-controlled and CUI data.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating OpenStack and/or OpenShift (Kubernetes) environments.
• Background in supporting HPC or large-scale compute environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or Perl.
• U.S. Person status or eligibility is required to support export-controlled environments (ITAR/CUI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting EDA, semiconductor, or silicon design environments.
• Knowledge of configuration management or IaC tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience applying AI-assisted automation in production operations or support contexts.
