TL;DR

Protection-MHPSS Officer (GBV/CP): Ensuring quality of integrated WPE/CP and MHPSS activities including case management services, psychological interventions, protection assessments, and community-based mental health support with an accent on survivor-centered approaches and multi-sectoral referrals. Focus on training frontline workers, supervising social workers, facilitating group sessions, and coordinating GBV response with partners.

What you will do

  • Participate in rapid assessments and contribute to integrated protection-MHPSS strategy based on feedback from women and girls.
  • Manage, monitor, and supervise GBV cases adhering to guiding principles.
  • Train and mentor frontline workers, volunteers, and staff on psychosocial support, PFA, and trauma-informed care.
  • Facilitate SH+ group sessions and provide specialized support to survivors.
  • Implement community-based MHPSS services and ensure safe GBVIMS documentation.
  • Build relationships with partners, supervise referrals, and coordinate case management meetings.
  • Enhance participation in Women and Girls Safe Spaces and assist with data entry and IEC materials.

Requirements

  • Diploma/BSc/MSc in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or related fields; min 5 years for Diploma, 2 for BSc, 1 for MSc.
  • Good command of spoken and written English; knowledge of local language advantageous.
  • Basic supervisory skills, technical/report writing, understanding of gender issues and VAWG.
  • Experience in participatory techniques, community mobilization, and training facilitation.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate field workers professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills, MS Office proficiency, ability to work under pressure.
