Senior Android Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in London or Budapest (Office presence required Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of new features for the Android app, ensuring high performance and security.
• Own features end-to-end, collaborating with backend, design, product, and QA teams.
• Maintain high code quality through hands-on development, code reviews, and effective testing.
• Resolve complex technical issues and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor and support junior engineers on design and best practices.
• Participate in a support rota to understand and resolve customer issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production-grade mobile applications.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture such as MVVM or MVI.
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Dagger, Jetpack, and Compose.
• Proficiency with GraphQL and integrating with backend services.
• Experience with coroutines, flow, or Rx.
• Familiarity with CI and build tooling such as CircleCI.
