Senior Sales Engineer (ETX)

Senior Sales Engineer (ETX): Supporting sales teams by delivering demos, driving POCs, and building trusted customer relationships across EMEA and DACH with an accent on secure virtual desktop infrastructure and enterprise connectivity. Focus on acting as ETX subject matter expert, mentoring colleagues, and collaborating with regional sales engineering teams to close business.

Remote from Mannheim or Bavaria, Germany or United States. Work as part of EMEA-wide and DACH regional teams.

What you will do

• Support sales teams to close new and existing business directly or via partners.
• Build long-term relationships in key accounts.
• Deliver compelling demonstrations and solution overviews to achieve trusted advisor status.
• Complete proof-of-concepts linking business use cases to technical solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance as ETX subject matter expert internally and externally.
• Collaborate with virtual EMEA sales engineering team and local DACH colleagues.

Requirements

• 10+ years in sales engineering or pre-sales technical roles.
• 10+ years with hirify.global ETX.
• SME on secure virtual desktop infrastructure market, vendors, trends, and user priorities.
• SME on OpenText Connectivity products (Exceed, HostExplorer, NFS Maestro).
• Technical expert on Linux/Unix/Windows, mainframe/AS/400 environments and connectivity.
• Expert on containerization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), REST API development.
• Experience with network security/encryption (TLS, SSH, VPN, HTTPS, TN3270, SSL).
• Knowledge of authentication (SSO, MFA, EntraID, OKTA) and scripting (Python, JS, C#).
