TL;DR

Functional Owner (Automotive): Accountable for end-to-end delivery of features in assigned domain, coordinating definition, development, testing, and acting as single point of contact. With an accent on requirements translation, timeline alignment, architecture support, and cross-domain coordination. Focus on leading software teams, ensuring implementation, validation, and adherence to processes and standards.

Hybrid model with office in Bucharest, Romania. Willingness to travel up to 25%.

What you will do

  • Define, plan, and monitor domain activities aligned with project scope and timelines.
  • Collaborate with customer to clarify requirements and translate to technical specs for development.
  • Partner with software project lead on timelines, priorities, and status reporting.
  • Support system and software architects in architecture definition and coordinate interfaces with other domains.
  • Lead development team for feature implementation and validation per requirements.
  • Work with test manager to ensure proper testing and issue resolution, adhering to hirify.global and customer standards.

Requirements

  • University degree (MSc/BSc).
  • Proven experience in automotive embedded software development, including requirements management, architecture, development, and testing.
  • Experience in matrix organization, ALM, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Analytical and systems thinking, communication, technical presentation skills.
  • Self-driven, autonomous, structured working style.
  • Good English language skills.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Automotive Connectivity/Telematics systems.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Understanding of Automotive quality standards (e.g., ASPICE).
  • Experience in agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
