TL;DR

Technical Program Manager (Aerospace): Define, mature, and negotiate mission concepts for high-power satellite platforms with an accent on payload integration studies, system architecture trades, and concept of operations development. Focus on leading technical customer engagements, coordinating cross-functional engineering teams, and aligning customer requirements with spacecraft capabilities.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations

Salary: $125,000 - $250,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Define, mature, and negotiate mission concepts, supporting payload integration, mission analysis, and system architecture trades.
  • Develop technical documentation for system architecture, payload interfaces, spacecraft capabilities, and concepts of operations.
  • Serve as primary technical interface for customer engagement, leading discussions, TEMs, and study reviews.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts with engineering teams in vehicle, avionics, software, propulsion, thermal, and AI&T.
  • Represent hirify.global in technical negotiations and ensure alignment between customer needs and company capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 5+ years in aerospace/space industry working with spacecraft or space systems
  • Direct experience designing, developing, integrating, or testing spacecraft/space systems
  • Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems, space system architectures, mission modeling, and simulation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%; U.S. Person status required per ITAR/export controls

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or above in engineering
  • 10+ years in aerospace working with spacecraft, launch vehicles, or payloads
  • Experience with National Security customers and systems
  • Satellite constellation modeling, payload performance analysis (EO, RF, IR, comms, PNT)
  • Deep knowledge of national security ground systems and architectures
