Technical Program Manager (Space Systems)

Salary: $125,000–$250,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Define, mature, and negotiate mission concepts for advanced payloads hosted on satellite bus platforms.
• Lead payload integration studies, mission analysis, system architecture trades, integration designs, and concepts of operations.
• Develop technical documentation covering system architectures, payload interfaces, spacecraft capabilities, requirements, and operations concepts.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, partners, technical exchange meetings, and study reviews.
• Coordinate cross-functional studies with vehicle engineering, avionics, software, propulsion, thermal, and AI&T teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in the aerospace or space industry working with spacecraft or space systems.
• Direct experience designing, developing, integrating, or testing spacecraft or space systems.
• Strong understanding of spacecraft subsystems, space system architectures, and mission modeling and simulation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export-control license.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
• 10 or more years of experience with spacecraft, launch vehicles, airborne systems, or payloads.
• Experience working with National Security customers and systems.
• Satellite constellation modeling, simulation, analysis, and multibody dynamics experience.
• Payload performance modeling and analysis or knowledge of national security ground-system architectures.
