TL;DR

Integration & Test Engineer (Spacecraft): Collaborate with design teams to define test plans and procedures for vehicle checkouts, confirming hardware and software flightworthiness with an accent on subsystem expertise, environmental testing, and pre-launch operations. Focus on operating spacecraft during tests, troubleshooting issues, leading integration campaigns, and supporting mission operations as satellite controller.

Los Angeles, CA. Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR/export control regulations (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual).

What you will do

  • Define test plans with pass/fail criteria and develop procedures for spacecraft hardware/software checkouts.
  • Operate spacecraft by interpreting telemetry and sending commands during factory, test facility, launch site, and pre-launch tests.
  • Investigate/troubleshoot vehicle issues and lead actions to prevent future failures.
  • Become expert in at least one vehicle subsystem and regularly lead integration campaign operations.
  • Act as test conductor for environmental campaigns, manage HITL configurations, and create harness drawings for ground equipment.
  • Support pre-launch at provider facilities and act as satellite controller during on-orbit mission operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer, or other engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years in integration/test/automation engineering (including internships or extracurricular projects).
  • Experience testing/troubleshooting spacecraft components, subsystem checkouts, and system acceptance testing.
  • Experience with environmental testing (thermal vacuum, random vibration).
  • Hands-on work in clean rooms with ESD-sensitive equipment and electrical test equipment (PSU, Oscilloscope, DMM).
  • Experience with HITL/Flatsat testbeds; proficient in Python/Rust and Linux.
  • Excellent conflict resolution; experience managing contractual interfaces.
