Construction Support Engineer (Engineering)

Location: Gliwice, Poland; frequent travel to project sites is required

What you will do

• Prepare technical and cost calculations for tenders, including risk assessments, budgets, erection concepts, site layouts, schedules, crane concepts, logistics, and construction documentation.
• Develop and optimise detailed erection plans, execution sequences, lifting plans, site infrastructure, equipment usage, and construction site organisation.
• Coordinate project management, engineering teams, external partners, subcontractors, delivery limits, and constructability reviews.
• Prepare technical inquiries and specifications, evaluate subcontractor offers, participate in negotiations, and support erection start calculations.
• Plan site IT infrastructure, administer construction site management software, and support site teams in achieving work package objectives.
• Maintain erection standards, guidelines, forms, regulations, and documentation while contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge standardisation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, industrial, civil, or structural engineering.
• 10+ years of experience leading erection campaigns for boiler pressure parts, incineration grates, steel structures, or complex industrial plants.
• Experience with erection supervision and planning; mechanical piping experience is highly valued.
• Experience coordinating construction and installation contracts, managing subcontractors, and supporting erection execution.
• Fluent Polish and good command of English and/or German are required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, PDF tools, and MS Project, with a structured, analytical, communicative, and solution-focused working style.

Nice to have

• SMSTS, IOSH, SCC, or equivalent certifications.
• Mechanical piping experience.
