Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 + equity

What you will do

• Lead satellite subsystem design reviews from kickoff through qualification and on-orbit operations.
• Drive hardware development including hands-on testing, analysis correlation, and iterations.
• Perform hardware trades to steer subsystem and product direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to establish requirements, processes, and best practices.
• Own and refine subsystem deliverable schedules throughout development and production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or relevant engineering discipline.
• 2+ years experience with mechanical/electromechanical design and analysis.
• Experience with CAD or FEA software packages.
• Experience with practical application of GD&T.
• Experience designing, building, and testing mechanical assemblies for aerospace applications.
• Demonstrated ability to own hardware/systems in integrated teams outside classroom (e.g., rocketry, CubeSats, robotics).
• Understanding of structural analysis and failure modes in space environments.
• Independent mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.
