TL;DR

Head of Risk Measurement and Policy (Fintech): Defining and governing the risk measurement architecture for liquidity and credit risk across cross-border solutions with an accent on quantitative risk frameworks and appetite metrics. Focus on overseeing model development, translating complex risk exposures into strategic insights, and reporting directly to the CRO and the Board.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end framework for liquidity and credit risk measurement aligned with cross-border settlement dynamics.
  • Define forward-looking methodologies for liquidity stress testing, counterparty risk, and credit loss estimation.
  • Architect and maintain quantitative risk appetite statements, including limits, thresholds, and escalation protocols.
  • Provide executive oversight and credible challenge to analytics teams regarding model development and data integrity.
  • Develop high-impact risk reporting and strategic narratives for the Executive Committees and the Board.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CRO, CFO, and Treasurer on strategic initiatives and new product corridors.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years of experience in liquidity and/or credit risk within financial services, payments, or banking.
  • Must be based in London to work from the company office.
  • Proven track record of designing quantitative risk models and operating at an oversight/governance level.
  • Deep expertise in stress testing, scenario design, and risk governance in regulated environments.
  • Experience presenting complex risk data to Executive Committees and Boards.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics; FRM/CFA/PRM certification preferred.
