Data Scientist (Streaming)

TL;DR

Data Scientist (Streaming): Designing and deploying machine learning and statistical models for recommendations and predictions with an accent on personalization and content optimization. Focus on analyzing large datasets to understand user behavior and partnering with engineers to deploy models into production.

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden (at least three days a week in the office)

What you will do

• Design, train, and deploy ML and statistical models for recommendations, predictions, and classification tasks.
• Translate business questions into data-driven problems and deliver actionable insights.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, content, CRM, and marketing teams to drive data-informed decisions.
• Analyze large datasets to understand user behavior, content performance, and platform trends.
• Partner with engineers to deploy models into production and monitor their performance.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous experimentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science or machine learning.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects from problem framing to evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data processing frameworks like Spark.
• Strong analytical skills and experience designing A/B tests or experiments.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow tools such as Airflow.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Stockholm office at least three days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommender systems, personalization, or content optimization.
• Familiarity with causal inference methods.
• Understanding of MLOps practices.
• Experience in media, streaming, or e-commerce industries.
