What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and optimize batch and streaming pipelines using Dataflow and related GCP services.
• Manage SQL-based data modeling and integrations across BigQuery and CloudSQL.
• Implement schema versioning and database changes using migration tools like Liquibase or Flyway.
• Build and automate CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
• Contribute to the adoption of modern data architectures such as data mesh or lakehouse.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on Data Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, CloudSQL).
• Strong SQL skills and expertise in data integrations and connectivity patterns.
• Practical knowledge of schema migration tools (Liquibase or Flyway).
• Experience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI.
• English: Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher required for effective communication in international teams.

Nice to have

• Python scripting skills.
• Knowledge of modern data architectures.
