Lead Cybersecurity Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Lead Cybersecurity Engineer (AWS): Designing, implementing, and supporting cloud network security infrastructure and overall cybersecurity posture with an accent on Zero Trust identity solutions and threat detection. Focus on driving security architecture, managing IAM strategies via Okta, and leading incident response within established SLAs.

Location: Regular Guatemala/Guatemala City. Work from home 100% or onsite in global offices is available.

What you will do

• Design and maintain cloud network security infrastructure on AWS, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, and WAF.
• Lead IAM strategy using Okta and Beyond Identity, enforcing least-privilege and Zero Trust models.
• Oversee security monitoring tools like Datadog and SIEM to lead incident triage and resolution.
• Partner with engineering teams to secure WebApp, desktop, and mobile platforms via secure CI/CD and IaC.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide expert input for compliance audits and risk assessments.

Requirements

• 8+ years of security engineering or cybersecurity operations experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in cybersecurity teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS security (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, KMS, etc.).
• Proven experience with Okta, Beyond Identity, and SSO/MFA.
• Proficiency with security monitoring platforms such as Datadog, SIEM, and EDR.
• Solid written and verbal English skills.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, GIAC, or AWS Security Specialty.
• Experience securing pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
