TL;DR

Salary: $145,000–$160,000

What you will do

  • Lead the design and execution of complex data platform initiatives from architecture to production delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership by guiding engineers on system design, development best practices, and incident response.
  • Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing standards, and CI/CD practices.
  • Mentor engineers across levels to support growth and alignment with career progression frameworks.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Own delivery outcomes for ambiguous or cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including technical leadership experience.
  • Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., claims, EMR, clinical datasets).
  • Proven track record of building and owning scalable data platforms or infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with AWS and modern data tools including dbt, Airflow, Iceberg, EMR, Athena, and Kafka.
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills with a focus on testing and observability.
  • Deep expertise in system design and data modeling.
