Staff Software Engineer (Developer Experience/AI): Building and optimizing internal platforms, CI/CD infrastructure, and agentic AI tooling to accelerate software delivery with an accent on removing systemic friction and scalable platform abstractions. Focus on architecting autonomous developer workflows and solving high-complexity productivity problems across distributed data centers.

Location: Hybrid (Livingston, NJ; New York, NY; Sunnyvale, CA; Bellevue, WA). Remote may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office. Must be a U.S. person (Citizen, Green Card holder, Refugee, or Asylee) for export control compliance.

Salary: $188,000 – $275,000

What you will do

• Define and drive the technical strategy for the DevEx platform, including CI pipelines, delivery systems, and artifact management.
• Solve the highest-complexity developer productivity problems, designing solutions that operate across 40+ data centers.
• Lead the technical architecture of the agentic developer platform, evolving MCP servers and agent-accessible APIs.
• Drive cross-team initiatives with infrastructure, security, and SRE teams to establish engineering standards.
• Mentor and develop Senior II engineers, elevating technical decision-making across the organization.
• Proactively identify technical debt and reliability gaps to improve platform resilience and developer trust.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building production developer platforms or large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar languages with experience in cloud-native environments.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) at the platform design level.
• Proven ability to define and execute multi-year technical strategies across complex domains.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
• Experience or strong leadership interest in AI-native developer tooling and agentic frameworks.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in Bazel, Buildkite, GitOps, or ArgoCD.
• Experience designing SLO-based quality gates and custom Kubernetes operators.
• Track record of architecting agentic systems, including MCP servers or tool-augmented LLM workflows.
• Prior experience as a technical lead or system architect on a platform team.
