Senior Programmes Officer (Africa Region)

What you will do

• Support programme design and implementation across Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, and South Sudan aligned with resilience frameworks.
• Coordinate the programmatic lifecycle, reporting, and compliance between Country Offices and HQ.
• Lead MEAL processes, ensuring robust data collection, analysis, and adaptive management based on evidence.
• Facilitate training and capacity-strengthening initiatives for regional programme teams.
• Provide interim project management during leadership transitions or capacity gaps to maintain continuity.
• Manage regional administrative workflows, HQ-CO communication, and strategic partnership support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in International Development, Project Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian/development programme management.
• At least 12 months of accumulated field-based experience leading programmatic work.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proven experience in proposal development, donor compliance, and knowledge management.
• Must be based in or able to work from Tel Aviv (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of French or other regional languages spoken in Africa.
• Experience working specifically within sub-Saharan Africa contexts.
• Experience with database management or specialized data tools.
