QA Engineer (Automation)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end product quality from requirement review through to release.
• Define use cases, acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform manual testing for new features, bug fixes, and integrations.
• Design, write, and maintain automated smoke tests.
• Establish automation practices within an environment that has historically been manual.
• Collaborate with PMs and developers to identify, document, and verify defects.

Requirements

• Proven QA experience across software products or web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Ability to write clear test cases and smoke tests from business requirements.
• Solid understanding of the defect lifecycle, regression testing, and release validation.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Experience introducing automation into a manual QA process.
• Familiarity with tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Postman.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, or TestRail.
• Background in non-profits, logistics, or community platforms.
