What you will do

• Extract structured and unstructured clinical data from electronic medical records to benefit cancer patients and researchers.
• Develop and update data curation instructions and capture forms for multiple tumor types and hematologic malignancies.
• Help develop and refine ML and LLM enabled curation methods.
• Maintain and improve QA processes, refining standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of software engineers, data scientists, and clinical professionals.
• Provide clinical expertise to support the processing and harmonization of structured data points.

Requirements

• Certification as a study nurse, physician, or comparable clinical professional, or a degree in health sciences, biology, molecular medicine, or related applied sciences.
• Fluency in cancer terminology and general German medical terminology (C-level mandatory).
• Experience with clinical data presentation (e.g., ICD codes, cancer registry data) and oncology treatment pathways.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or electronic data capture forms.
• English proficiency at minimum B2-level.

Nice to have

• Strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and experience in applying them to data processing.
