TL;DR
Engineering Manager (Engagement) (iGaming): Leading the Engagement Tools engineering domain by developing engineers and QA, shaping architecture, and owning end-to-end delivery with an accent on scalability, reliability, and predictable execution. Focus on improving people management, technical roadmaps, engineering workflows, incident response, and cross-functional ownership.
Location: Sliema, Malta; fully remote

is an iGaming development studio creating slot games and value-add tools for gaming operators.
What you will do
- Develop engineers and QA through 1-on-1s, goal setting, performance reviews, feedback, and development plans.
- Shape architecture and the technical roadmap for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Own planning-to-release execution, improving delivery predictability, quality, time-to-market, and team KPIs.
- Partner with Product, PMs, and Engineering Leads to align priorities and make sustainable technical decisions.
- Improve engineering workflows, incident management, post-incident practices, and platform reliability.
- Support complex technical decisions and contribute to the codebase when needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
- 7+ years of hands-on development experience across backend and frontend engineering.
- Strong experience with people management, including 1-on-1s, performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
- Working knowledge of Java, Spring, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, plus relational and NoSQL databases.
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

- Experience in the iGaming industry.
- Experience with MySQL.
