What you will do

• Partner with EPD teams to enable product initiatives, balancing speed with responsible risk management.
• Resolve issues related to privacy, data security, AI, platform safety, and intellectual property.
• Translate evolving laws and market expectations into actionable guidance.
• Build scalable processes and templates to accelerate product shipping.
• Support sales, partnerships, procurement, and M&A on transactions requiring nuanced product knowledge.

Requirements

• Admitted to the California Bar or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel exception.
• 8+ years of legal experience, including 4+ years of product legal experience at a software company.
• Strong understanding of cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) and global regulatory requirements.
• Proven track record of building processes at hyper-growth companies.
• Ability to independently manage and negotiate technology agreements.

Nice to have

• Computer science degree or technical background in software engineering for the web.
• Experience with open source, intellectual property, and platform safety.
• Experience using hirify.global’s products and services.
