Sr. Software Engineer - Application Security (AI)

Location: Remote from Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, or Mexico

What you will do

• Build and maintain application security features for hirify.global B2 Cloud Storage and Computer Backup.
• Use AI tools to develop security components, improve existing software, and address evolving security requirements.
• Perform security assessments and code reviews for internal and customer-facing applications.
• Develop security automation and tooling, and work with engineers to remediate vulnerabilities.
• Support the bug bounty and vulnerability-handling programs by investigating reports and guiding remediation.
• Support a large multi-server software stack involving Tomcat, JSP, Node, JavaScript, browsers, and custom client software.

Requirements

• Application development and application security experience.
• Experience using AI frameworks, coding agents, and tools such as Gemini, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Cursor for development and security.
• Strong knowledge of core web security, common vulnerabilities, and the OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with SAST and DAST scanners, fuzzing tools, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, web applications, cloud systems, Linux environments, cryptography, and secure authentication.
• Programming experience with Java, JSP, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python, or C/C++.
