What you will do

• Develop and scale a global eSIM platform serving more than 20 million users.
• Tackle complex challenges across backend architecture, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Write clean, functional, and modular code using PHP and Laravel.
• Participate in a paid on-call rotation to maintain 24/7 service reliability and system resilience.
• Collaborate within a fully remote engineering team to deliver reliable features in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional backend development experience with a solid command of PHP.
• Proven experience building applications in Laravel or a strong background in Symfony.
• Strong understanding of OOP, interfaces, and clean code principles.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, including database indexing, migrations, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting, and writing unit/feature tests.
• Fluent English and valid right to work in Romania, Spain, or the UK.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with caching mechanisms (Redis/Memcached) and AWS cloud services.
• Experience with SaaS or Traveltech solutions.
• Knowledge of eSIM or GSMA technologies.
• Interest in distributed systems and horizontal scaling.
