What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of backend services for creative ingestion (images, video, HTML), validation, and rendering.
• Architect services managing creative metadata, versioning, and runtime selection for high-availability ad serving.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and ML teams to optimize creative assets and advertiser performance.
• Develop tooling for creative A/B testing, dynamic templates, and performance analytics.
• Design reliable data pipelines for logging, feature generation, and reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices in observability and reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend or platform production systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Kotlin, C++, or Python.
• Strong experience building large-scale distributed systems and high-throughput services.
• Deep knowledge of web services/APIs and relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Bigtable, BigQuery).
• Proven track record as a technical lead scoping and delivering complex projects.
• Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with media processing pipelines (ingestion, transformation, optimization).
• Knowledge of real-time ad serving or recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with AdTech and the impact of creative quality on performance.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, BigQuery, Dataflow, Kafka, Beam, or Spark.
• Experience with GenAI for creative automation or classification.
