Lead Data Engineer (Energy)

What you will do

• Define and enforce engineering best practices, including CI/CD and modularity, across the data organization.
• Own the long-term vision for data modelling and research and implement modern data stack tooling.
• Design and implement data governance frameworks and act as the lead responder for GDPR-related incidents.
• Partner with Product teams to shape the Analytics Engineering Roadmap and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Champion a data-driven culture and develop advanced modelling solutions for complex scenarios.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and dbt, with a focus on clean, reusable, and testable code.
• Mastery of dimensional data modelling for highly complex scenarios.
• Proven ability to drive adoption of new standards and tools across multiple teams.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills for interacting with non-technical leaders.
• Deep, end-to-end understanding of the data lifecycle, from ingestion to consumption.
• Must be based in Ukraine

Nice to have

• Experience owning and driving a long-term data modelling strategy.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
• Experience acting as a lead responder for GDPR or data privacy incidents.
• Track record of leading rapid proof of concepts to validate new technologies.
