TL;DR
Mobile Software Architect (AI/iOS): Designing scalable and performant mobile architecture for a suite of applications focused primarily on iOS, with an accent on Swift, modern iOS frameworks, modularization, and offline-first strategies. Focus on defining architecture standards, designing reusable APIs and SDKs, integrating mobile applications with backend services, and guiding performance, security, testing, and deployment decisions.
Location: Fully onsite at the office in Lisbon, Portugal; relocation support is available.
Compensation: $145,000–$255,000 annually.

What you will do
- Define and lead scalable, maintainable mobile architecture across projects, primarily for iOS.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, performance guidelines, and architectural review practices.
- Design reusable APIs, SDKs, and modular components for use across engineering teams.
- Partner with product, design, backend, and cloud teams to align architecture with product goals and integrate mobile applications with services.
- Guide mobile tooling, third-party library, CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation decisions.
- Mentor mobile engineers and support refactoring, scaling, security, and technical quality improvements.
Requirements
- 6+ years of mobile development experience with a strong architectural mindset.
- Deep expertise in iOS development with Swift; Objective-C knowledge is beneficial.
- Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, Combine, app performance optimization, modularization, and offline-first strategies.
- Experience integrating APIs, managing mobile data storage and caching, and handling background tasks.
- Knowledge of App Store submission, mobile security, compliance guidelines, mobile CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment automation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Android development using Kotlin or Java.
- Objective-C experience.
- Knowledge of MVVM, VIPER, and other clean-code design patterns.
