TL;DR

Manager, Event Sales (SaaS): Leading a team of Event Sales Specialists to expand event capabilities in the North American market with an accent on team skill development and sales goal achievement. Focus on managing direct reports, refining the NAM value proposition, and executing strategic business plans for event sales.

Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL). Must be based within commuting distance of the office hubs.

Salary: $102,000 – $120,000 base + $22,000 Commission

What you will do

  • Manage and motivate a team of 6-8 Event Sales Specialists to hit ambitious sales targets.
  • Partner with Senior GTM stakeholders to refine and execute the North American value proposition.
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach the team with a strong focus on constant skill development.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify process gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the strategic build-out of the Amtrav Event Sales capability.
  • Establish feedback loops with customers to drive product and operational improvements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Event Sales, MICE Group Travel, or general Sales.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership and people management.
  • Deep understanding of the NAM events market and stakeholder requirements.
  • Perfect written and spoken English.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics.
  • Must be based within commuting distance of Chicago for a hybrid (3 days/week) arrangement.
