Data Scientist (AI) (Healthcare Machine Learning): Developing machine learning models from clinical, claims, and social determinants of health data to generate actionable recommendations and improve pediatric clinical outcomes with an accent on causal inference, statistical research, and patient-care insights. Focus on querying Snowflake, maintaining model monitoring and drift alerts, and owning the model development lifecycle.
Location: United States (Remote)
Salary: $135,000–$160,000 per year, plus annual bonus incentive and eligibility for an employee equity purchase program.

What you will do
- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand goals and translate them into robust ML and AI models that improve clinical outcomes.
- Define requirements, optimize data collection, build data assets, and deliver insights for business strategy and patient care.
- Develop machine learning models using clinical, claims, and social determinants of health data to drive actionable recommendations.
- Define and maintain model logging, monitoring, evaluation metrics, hyperparameter tracking, and drift alerting.
- Query Snowflake independently and prepare data for exploratory analysis and modeling.
- Write clean, maintainable code and own the model development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of study design, causal inference, hypothesis testing, statistics, and research methods.
- Ability to present findings and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience working in a startup or growth environment.
Nice to have
- Healthcare experience.
- Experience building with LLMs and knowledge of AI integration best practices.
- Engineering experience with AWS, Tableau, dbt, Dagster, or distributed computing frameworks.
