TL;DR
Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor): Resolving engineering defects for installed Semiconductor Test ATE platforms with an accent on production and customer issue resolution. Focus on designing mechanical specifications, implementing DFM/DFA principles, and managing prototype procurement.
Location: Onsite in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia. Relocation is not provided. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Investigate and resolve production and customer issues for released products.
- Lead activities to resolve factory "line-down" issues from identification to deployment.
- Generate mechanical specifications, detailed drawings, BOMs, and assemblies.
- Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Manage small to medium projects and oversee prototype procurement and vendor selection.
- Coordinate material rework activities and participate in design reviews.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and general drafting standards including ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T.
- Experience with E/M packaging layout including sheet metal, plastics, cabling, and PC Boards.
- Working knowledge of Compliance/Regulatory design requirements.
- Must be local to the position location; no relocation or visa sponsorship provided.
