What you will do

• Prototype and implement gameplay scenarios, narrative sequences, and AI behaviors.
• Own the development of interactive objects and core mechanics.
• Collaborate with animation, programming, and art departments to produce required assets and code support.
• Advise design leadership on team cohesion and communication.
• Work independently to execute design goals while keeping leadership informed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in Technical Design for games.
• At least 2 shipped game titles.
• Significant programming ability, preferably with a Computer Science degree.
• Fluency in C++, C#, Lua, or other text-based scripting languages.
• Expertise in 3D math and a deep understanding of narrative principles.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Santa Monica, CA office (Hybrid/Onsite).

Nice to have

• Experience developing third-person action games.
• Experience with Behavior Trees.
• Expertise in Encounter Design and Narrative Gameplay Sequences.
