What you will do

• Design, implement, and test changes to customer acquisition and underwriting decision engines to optimize volume and performance.
• Develop and maintain unit and regression test cases to ensure the accuracy of decision engine changes.
• Establish performance metrics and develop automated reporting and alerting using SQL and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategy changes and perform impact analysis.
• Communicate concise and actionable business strategy recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business discipline (Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering).
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or QA.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Python and SQL for data analysis.
• Strong proficiency in relational databases and query authoring.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and minimal guidance.

Nice to have

• Experience working with specialty finance or FinTech.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Experience with BI reporting tools.
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies.
