Network Engineer (AI)

Network Engineer (AI): Supporting the design, deployment, and operation of a high-bandwidth network for AI/ML workloads in a state-of-the-art datacenter with an accent on Spine-Leaf and Clos architectures. Focus on physical infrastructure implementation, ensuring low-latency connectivity, and maintaining high-availability network fabrics.

Location: Onsite in Norway (Tydal, Molde, Røros, Trondheim, or Selbu)

What you will do

• Validate and refine scalable, high-bandwidth network architecture for AI/ML workloads based on Spine-Leaf and Clos principles.
• Coordinate the physical build, staging, cabling, configuration, and testing of network infrastructure at the Tydal site.
• Ensure network designs and equipment specifications align with Norwegian and EU standards for critical infrastructure.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including monitoring performance, telemetry, and root cause analysis of network incidents.
• Implement and maintain secure network environments using firewalls and segmentation.
• Prepare and maintain detailed network schematics, diagrams, and configuration records.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of network engineering experience, preferably in datacenter or large enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Ethernet switching, routing, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, and EVPN/VXLAN.
• Experience with high-speed network environments (25G/100G/400G Ethernet).
• Knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Fluency in English is required for technical documentation.
• Must be able to work onsite at the specified locations in Norway.

Nice to have

• Norwegian or Swedish language skills.
• Basic scripting or automation experience using Python or Ansible.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or Arista ACE.
• Experience working with Nordic infrastructure providers.
