Data Privacy Counsel

TL;DR

Data Privacy Counsel (Fintech): Ensuring privacy compliance of the hirify.global Group under GDPR and other applicable privacy laws with an accent on integrating new acquired companies into the GDPR framework and performing GDPR monitoring programs. Focus on updating records of processing, assisting with privacy impact assessments, validating contractual clauses for personal data protection, and supporting business activities on privacy topics.

Location: Porto, Portugal (VIE position starting July 2026)

What you will do

• Ensure hirify.global Group's privacy compliance with GDPR and other laws in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer.
• Integrate newly acquired companies into the hirify.global GDPR and privacy framework.
• Perform GDPR monitoring programs.
• Update records of processing activities.
• Assist and monitor completion of privacy impact assessments.
• Validate contractual clauses relating to personal data protection and conduct awareness actions.
• Support business units in day-to-day privacy activities.

Requirements

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential
• 3-5 years initial experience in a law firm or company focused on data protection
• Degree in Law and/or personal data protection
• Keen interest in financial markets
• Rigorous, organised, with excellent interpersonal and writing skills
• Good knowledge of IT tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneTrust
• Transparency, pragmatism, and team spirit

Nice to have

• Knowledge of other privacy regulations and cybersecurity
• French language skills
