Location: Hybrid; Must be based in or relocate to the Netherlands
Salary: €4,728 – €6,433 per month

What you will do
- Develop and apply AI methods to integrate experimental sensor data, numerical simulations, and operational data into actionable information.
- Advance AI for aerospace structures by combining experimental data with physics-based structural analysis methods.
- Evaluate damage tolerance and assess damage initiation and propagation under static and cyclic loading.
- Teach at BSc and MSc levels and supervise PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers.
- Develop a coherent vision for education in data science and AI applied to structural design, analysis, and monitoring.
- Collaborate across disciplines and with industry partners to drive innovative research and teaching.
Requirements
- PhD in Aerospace Engineering with a strong focus on structural mechanics.
- Expertise in structural design, analysis, composite structures, or damage and fracture mechanics.
- Strong affinity with artificial intelligence, data science, and data analytics.
- Experience in teaching and supervising students with an inclusive and supportive approach.
- Excellent English communication skills; willingness to learn Dutch is supported.
- Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands.
