Senior Developer (Node.js/JavaScript)

TL;DR

Senior Developer (Node.js/JavaScript): Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and build software solutions including large-scale distributed systems from microservices with an accent on clean code, continuous delivery, and engineering best practices. Focus on applying latest technologies, advocating DevSecOps, and mentoring juniors while solving complex business problems.

Location: Bangkok, Thailand. You may be expected to work out of our hirify.global office or at our client's office location for all five working days of the week, depending on business or clients’ needs.

What you will do

• Learn and adopt best practices like writing clean and reusable code using TDD, pair programming and design patterns.
• Use and advocate for continuous delivery practices to deliver high-quality software early.
• Work in collaborative teams to build innovative customer experiences and large-scale distributed systems out of microservices.
• Collaborate with teammates to build features, design concepts, interactive prototypes, and embed UX best practices.
• Apply latest technology from Technology Radar to solve client problems and utilize DevSecOps tools.
• Oversee entire software consulting and delivery cycle from ideation to deployment and mentor less-experienced peers.

Requirements

• Experience using one or more development languages (Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ruby, C#) with Object-Oriented programming.
• Skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and comfortable with Object-Oriented programming.
• Comfortable with Agile methodologies such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban.
• Good awareness of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches/tools.
• Enjoy influencing others, advocate for technical excellence, open to change, and resilient in ambiguous situations.
• Presence in external tech community via speaking, open source contributions, blogs.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker.
