Location: Melbourne, Australia (Hybrid - up to 2 days WFH)

What you will do

  • Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions aligned with project requirements.
  • Optimize existing systems to resolve bottlenecks and enhance reliability and scalability.
  • Engage in hands-on coding to ensure high code quality and maintainability across the stack.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to communicate and implement technical concepts.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level engineers within the team.
  • Drive constructive changes to enhance overall team performance and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Melbourne, Australia
  • 6-7+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on scalable system design.
  • Proficiency in Go, PHP, and React/NextJS.
  • Strong understanding of code architecture and design principles.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

  • Experience as a Senior Software Engineer within a large-scale product company.
  • Proven track record of building and debugging production-grade web applications.
